If you have been caught from driving under influence then you need to be searching for a drunk driver insurance since you can't probably get a normal auto insurance anymore. Most of the drunk driving accidents occure in the late hours of the night when men and women start getting home from the bars and night clubs. The insurance companies are not happy with alcoholists driving and that is why they have invented these drunk driver insurances that will be mandatory for people who have been caught driving under influence. Usually the insurance policy is a lot tighter and the prices are a lot higher. Thay way they can properly insure someone who is risking of being drunk driving and hence provide the necessary services for anyone that they might collide with. After all an insurance is not just for the vehicle that is insured but also for the other one that is involved in the accident.

There are special kinds of drunk driving lawyers that help people that have problems with their drunk driver insurance policys and don't know what it will actually cover. To be honest they don't cover as much as a normal insurance and that could be expected, It is mainly intended to cover the losses of the other people involved in the accident.

If you ask me I don't support these types of insurances since it encourages people to get behind the wheel even if they have had something to drink. The fear of losing your car, drivers license and anything related to a vehicle could be enough to prevent people from DUI. That way many lives would be saved because no drunk driver insurance will ever repay the lives of our loved ones.
